October Digest
Hi there,
I hope you enjoyed your summer as much as we did! The weather couldn’t be more perfect. And as we move into fall it continues. I’ve been enjoying it by getting outside as much as I possibly can. One thing I enjoyed most was playing tennis with my husband. It’s been years since I’ve played (so I was a little rusty) but wow what a fun activity to test out my training.
I noticed my lower body felt really strong and stable as I’d sprint and stop suddenly to hit the ball. So that’s been awesome. But I also noticed my upper body could use some strength so I’ve been focusing more on building my upper body strength and stability which feels amazing.
There’s so much we can do when we address our weak links and work on them. The power of consistency is often missed in our modern life. But that’s where change actually happens, by doing the thing over and over again and building on it each time you do it. Getting a little better each time. This is how we approach our work in the gym. Creating a foundation of strength and building on that over time. Then one day you realize just how strong you’ve become.

Weak Links
That brings me to think about weak links. And this is something you know if you’ve worked with us before. Weak links are those places in your body that you forget about. The places we skip over in our training or places we’ve possibly never trained at all. They could even be areas where you’ve been injured before and never quite got your full range of motion and strength back.
We prioritize our weak links as they reveal themselves. Because sometimes you don’t know until you play that sport you haven’t played in years and you feel the pain or excessive stiffness after. Addressing your weak links is what makes you stronger over time, amplifying your work in the gym and in turn giving you faster results, ultimately making you stronger and more resilient to injury year after year. And isn’t that what we all want as we get older? To be able to move with freedom.
So for those of you who train weekly with us we’ll continue to work on those weak links together and make them stronger links ;). For those of you who haven’t trained with us for a while or at all, now would be a great time to start.
